I’ve been a supporter of “receiving” what you “ask for” for many years.

An example of what I’m talking about took place a couple of days ago. It was time to upgrade my wife’s computer.

It’s no coincidence that less than 90 days ago we made up an “expectation” board. We put pictures on it of the things we wanted in the coming months. The most prominent was the computer.

An opportunity to sell Gwen’s existing computer to a close friend (and someone who has contributed many hours of his expertise to the creation of the Intentional Prosperity™ System) created the perfect timing.

A key component of this upgrade was adding a large software package. Now the interesting thing was the picture of the software Gwen had placed on our “expectation board” was for the ultimate “master” collection of the software.

Why was this interesting?

Because we were able to purchase everything Gwen needed in a smaller software package for several hundred dollars less.

Of course, the bigger package offered software she didn’t “need”. I posed the question to her about the cost difference. She took a few minutes and said: We should go with the “master” version, even though it costs more…She “felt” it was the way to go so we did it.

When she removed the pictures of the computer and the software (from our expectation board) she brought something fascinating to my attention: “Bob, look… The picture of the software is the “master” version!.. It’s good we didn’t disrupt the flow by getting less than we expected.”

We had both forgotten that we had “placed” our expectation on the larger software package after determining many months ago it would ultimately serve us better.

This brings up an important point:

When you set a specific desire in motion, should you settle for less than what you really wanted? Is it okay to accept 50% of what you want?

I believe many of us unconsciously sabotage ourselves and our dreams by accepting what appears to be what we wanted. We say to ourselves, “It’s got just about everything I’d hoped for”. We turn a blind eye to the fact that it’s not the “full” dream.

I believe accepting less that what you really want short circuits the “manifestation” process which brings it into your life….I’ll continue this discussion in tomorrow’s blog posting.
