A burnout prevention technique:

Anyone who strives to accomplish things and experiences in his or her life can come up against a type of fatigue known as burn-out. Burn-out is literally the depletion of your emotional and mental reserves. You could say that when you start to experience burn-out your well is going dry.

Burn-out can take place even if you are following your passion in life.

It’s all a matter of attention. When you love what you are doing, it’s still possible to temporarily exhaust your supply of mental and emotional energy. The most obvious indication that you are experiencing burn-out is that you seem to lose focus on what you need to do. You don’t have the”juice” necessary to get what you need accomplished.

The fact that you are losing focus means you need to let go.

You need to balance your day-to-day activities with a completely unrelated activity.

I noticed a few weeks ago that I was starting to get a little distracted…and believe me, I love what I’m doing. I realized that I had gotten unbalanced and was “draining the well” because of it. So I began to do something I hadn’t done in quite a while…I spent a couple of hours each night just listening to music.

I lost myself in an activity that had nothing to do with the activities connected with my day-to-day passion. (Which of course is the Intentional Prosperity™ System.) The amazing thing, was that I immediately found myself more focused and more effective with my passion related activities. I was able to rekindle the fire that had started to dwindle…

It all comes down to rebuilding your reserves.

The human brain can become fatigued no matter how much you love what you are doing. You have to create a balance with an activity that has no connection to your passion. (Hey, we all have many passions don’t we?) It gives your brain a chance to utilize some of it’s other pathways.

It’s a simple, sure-fire method for reducing and overcoming burn-out. On the other hand, if your burn-out is because you don’t like what you’re doing, you may find that this balancing activity may help you to “get real” about what you’re doing and why you’re doing it…

In either case, a balancing activity is the best, easiest method I’ve ever come across for overcoming burn-out.
