Have you noticed that every time you hear late breaking news it’s always wrong?

And it’s not only the news. Just last weekend we were warned by NOAH on my weather radio that a winter storm warning was being put into place and we should expect twelve or more inches of snow, white out conditions… I mean this was the worst storm of the winter and it wasn’t winter, it was the middle of April!

We got maybe two inches of snow that melted in a few hours… no white outs or dangerous road conditions.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t believe the “authorities” anymore. Everything is exaggerated, emotionalized and at the end of the day, you find out it wasn’t at all what they said. The facts are always very different…

My advice is to start taking everything with a grain of salt.

I’m not going to react anymore to any “latest big thing”, until I get all the facts. I’m tired of having my chain pulled for no reason… From what I can see, a lot of people are starting to feel the way I do. I’m tired of hearing everybody cry “wolf” only to find out it wasn’t even a dog… it was a mouse!

Who benefits from all the unnecessary emotion, stress and anxiety caused by all the sensationalism?

Follow the money: Who advertises the most on the network news shows? Did I tell you that 118 million prescriptions for antidepressants were written in the US in 2005? (the most recent year there are statistics available for)

What’s the most popular way to handle anxiety and stress?

It sure isn’t taking a walk!
