Infinity In A Grain Of Sand
In a recent broadcast of the late night radio show “Coast to Coast AM” a fascinating discussion about the Hubble Telescope took place.
Just about everyone is familiar with this amazing orbiting telescope. It’s hard not to have seen some of the stunning images of outer space brought back to Earth over the last seventeen years…
The most astonishing revelation to me was a description of what’s called the “ultra deep field” exposure. It’s a type of picture taken by the Hubble. Imagine a single grain of sand about six feet in front of you. That is exactly the small slice of outer space the Hubble Telescope was focused on. This miniscule slice of space was chosen because no apparent light from stars and galaxies could be detected.
A thirty day time exposure was made.
The results were astounding:
Within that grain of sand sized slice of outer space they discovered an estimated 10,000 galaxies! Each Galaxy with an estimated billion stars! What if they had made a sixty day exposure? Would they have found 10 or 20 thousand more Galaxies?…probably.
In every direction we look, our evolving technology empowers us to see things that forces us to rewrite the rules. The assumptions which have been the basis of our limited understanding of life. This happens everyday in the world of science …and in your own life if you’re paying attention.
Slowly but surely, mankind is going to come into the realization that the Universe and the imagination are one and the same …infinite. The more we realize the vastness of the Universe, the more vaster yet it becomes. The same is true of your imagination.
As you break through the limitations of your own perceptions, the larger your personal Universe becomes. The one unfailing truth of life is that it is forever expanding.
Life expands. The mind expands. Your consciousness expands. Your experience expands and so on.
Taking into consideration the proven reality of an infinite Universe, it would seem that subjecting yourself to a life which is not also expanding with infinite possibilities of joy and fulfillment is going against nature.
Why would you cheat yourself out of your birthright?
It’s one thing to use the excuse “I didn’t know any better”. If you’ve gotten this far reading this article, at least you can’t use that excuse anymore …right?
