I’m Ready To Be Unleashed!
“I’m ready to be unleashed”…
This was the reason a woman in her mid-thirties gave me a year ago, when she decided to enroll in “The Intentional Prosperity™ System”. I also remember how we both laughed at her unexpected choice of words.
She was talking about becoming unleashed from the chains of “I can’t” and “I’m not worthy”. It was her realization that these thought barriers were preventing her from living the kind of life she really wanted to live. She was ready to embark upon a journey which would show her how to take back control of her imagination and her free will.
Her current attitudes, opinions and beliefs had become the chains that were preventing her from exploring beyond her comfort zone. Relationships, things and experiences, had become off limits even in her imagination.
She wanted to be unleashed from being afraid to dream.
Afraid to dream? How can someone reach a point in their lives where the mere thought of something new and different stimulates fear, uncertainty and doubt? (F.U.D.)
When a new thought comes into conflict with your status quo, (your comfort zone) your mind will fight to maintain the safe, predictable reality of what it already knows… The mind is designed to rationalize whatever you deem is true. Challenge your own truth with nothing more than a possibility of something new and your mind’s status quo protection mechanism leaps into action.
In other words, you’ll start to feel guilt, fear, apprehension, panic and whatever else your mind can throw at you. To get you to put your attention on something else!
For someone in their mid-thirties, coming to the realization that she needed to be “unleashed” was impressive.
It’s equally impressive when someone in their mid-fifties comes to the same conclusion. With maturity should also come the realization and sense of urgency that the opportunity to more fully know yourself has never been greater. That unleashing yourself from self-imposed boundaries is the only way you can break the chains. Slice through the invisible leash of habitual apprehension to the “what ifs” of life. Breaking the hold fear has upon you that is preventing your full experience of life
…and of course the clock is ticking.
