Are You Getting Old Before Your Time?

If you are getting old before your time, it could be all in your mind…

I had a rather astonishing experience today that proves it! I was at a relative’s home and was introduced to a couple. They were also related to them and had stopped by for a visit as they were traveling through town.

Very nice people

By their appearance and demeanor I thought they were close to the same age as my relative’s who is in his seventies. I didn’t think much about it until some time after we left and my wife Gwen dropped a bombshell on me…

“She was younger than me…”

What?…

“And he is younger than you”

I was totally blown away. It couldn’t possibly be true.

That couple had to be in their late sixties or early seventies. What Gwen was saying is that they looked twenty to thirty years older than they actually were!

Did they suffer from some immense personal hardships or stress or disease?

None she could think of. So what could possibly account for what I had seen and experienced? Obviously Gwen and I continued our conversation. This was not the kind of thing you experience everyday… or is it? How many people do you run into on a daily basis who look and act 20 or more years older than they really are? …and you have no way of knowing!

For many years, I have professed a belief that people will adapt to the mental image they have of themselves. Their bodies will age prematurely because their thinking process and belief system buys into a series of compromises (over time) that literally drains the vitality out of their lives.

They become old because they believe they are old.

What going on here?

If there is a predisposition within a family culture that reaching a certain age means you are going to look and act a certain way, those unaware of the long-term conditioning to their expectations will simply become what they’ve been programmed to be.

One of the next big breakthroughs in “our understanding” of the aging process is going to be that our expectation and apprehension about aging may be the single greatest cause of the physical manifestation of age on our appearance.

In other words our attitude can slow time down or speed it up. You always become what you believe.

Just look in the mirror.

In Search Of Truth

There comes a point in life when you either accept or reject the notion that more exists …than what your five senses tell you.

Most of us will choose to accept the construct of reality which is safe. The familiar lowest common denominator, which is the popular day-to-day reality the majority of people function within. Then there are those, much fewer in number, who challenge the validity and limitation of the common life.

For those who choose to test the boundaries of accepted reality, nothing again is ever the same.

What you begin to realize is that our common reality is largely a distraction. Popular thought and action is process oriented rather accomplishment focused. This enables the “institutions” to organize, pontificate and sustain their “process” which becomes the sole purpose of the institution.

The truth seeker recognizes the smoke and mirrors of those engaged in preserving the status quo.

It’s quite shocking to see someone who has been honored for a lifetime of doing nothing innovative or new. A person who has steadfastly held onto a belief system which is predicated upon maintaining and perpetuating the “process” for the next generation. Becoming an expert about the belief system, without ever truly understanding it and applying it, is actually the desired outcome.

It’s not surprising that the common world is populated with experts who can recite chapter and verse but cannot point to the their own lives as an example of what they know and believe.

Any belief system that does not compel you to fundamentally alter your consciousness, change your life and take responsibility for becoming the example of what you profess to “know” is little more than a form of entertainment.

A mind game and a distraction.

Infinity In A Grain Of Sand

In a recent broadcast of the late night radio show “Coast to Coast AM” a fascinating discussion about the Hubble Telescope took place.

Just about everyone is familiar with this amazing orbiting telescope. It’s hard not to have seen some of the stunning images of outer space brought back to Earth over the last seventeen years…

The most astonishing revelation to me was a description of what’s called the “ultra deep field” exposure. It’s a type of picture taken by the Hubble. Imagine a single grain of sand about six feet in front of you. That is exactly the small slice of outer space the Hubble Telescope was focused on. This miniscule slice of space was chosen because no apparent light from stars and galaxies could be detected.

A thirty day time exposure was made.

The results were astounding:

Within that grain of sand sized slice of outer space they discovered an estimated 10,000 galaxies! Each Galaxy with an estimated billion stars! What if they had made a sixty day exposure? Would they have found 10 or 20 thousand more Galaxies?…probably.

In every direction we look, our evolving technology empowers us to see things that forces us to rewrite the rules. The assumptions which have been the basis of our limited understanding of life. This happens everyday in the world of science …and in your own life if you’re paying attention.

Slowly but surely, mankind is going to come into the realization that the Universe and the imagination are one and the same …infinite. The more we realize the vastness of the Universe, the more vaster yet it becomes. The same is true of your imagination.

As you break through the limitations of your own perceptions, the larger your personal Universe becomes. The one unfailing truth of life is that it is forever expanding.

Life expands. The mind expands. Your consciousness expands. Your experience expands and so on.

Taking into consideration the proven reality of an infinite Universe, it would seem that subjecting yourself to a life which is not also expanding with infinite possibilities of joy and fulfillment is going against nature.

Why would you cheat yourself out of your birthright?

It’s one thing to use the excuse “I didn’t know any better”. If you’ve gotten this far reading this article, at least you can’t use that excuse anymore …right?

We Come From The Stars

Our bodies contain all of the elements of the physical universe.

This means you are a unique representation of all that is …a human. A form of life which realizes it’s own existence and has the power to dream its own destiny.

We humans share an unlimited ability to imagine, to dream, to desire and to manifest.

Our unique experiences, memories and expectations determines whether our life is a prison or an infinite journey.

Becoming aware of your true nature is the process which unleashes you from any point in your imagination. Until that realization, you are forever the mirror of what you believe you are capable of. Limitation is only thought energy which becomes the safe haven containing what you believe as truth.

Your truth is always projected as your current day-to-day reality.

What you truly are, however, transcends the time, space and matter required to enable your biological existence. The illusion and the opportunity, the struggle between what is and what can be, always tempting you to probe beyond yourself.

Your true self seeks to understand the system representing your physical existence. The physical universe made up of phantoms of light and vibration slowed to reflect the three dimensions of your physical perception.

This stage of infinite possibilities is where you present the story of your life.

Relationships and Marriage

This post begins a new series from the Intentional Prosperity™ philosophy… relationships and marriage.

For many years we have been assisting others in their creative and life challenges. During that time there has been a reoccurring theme. Everyone wants true love. Everyone has trouble with finding it.

It is evident by the rate of divorce in our country that, those who are getting married aren’t able to keep it together. Over half of new marriages end in divorce. That is a very sad figure.

It seems apparent that they haven’t asked each other or themselves the right questions, during their relationship, before they decided to get married. That they were in such a rush to tie the knot, that they didn’t even consider a very important part of what marriage is all about… “Do I want to spend the rest of my life with this person?”

If most newlyweds are going into a marriage without considering all the ramifications, it’s no wonder there is so much divorce. It’s like the words, “in sickness and in health, till death do us part,” have no meaning whatsoever anymore.

Perhaps the biggest problem is the misconception that once you get married everything will work out. That any challenges or issues, a couple is facing, are going to magically disappear or be resolved with the “I do’s”. They don’t!

Marriage is a very serious commitment and to be taken lightly, as something that can be thrown away when it doesn’t fit anymore, is not only irresponsible but an incredible waste of time, energy, emotion and resources.

What are the most important things to consider before you even get involved?

One, knowing what you really want going into the relationship.

Two, knowing the questions to ask your potential mate to see if they’re a good fit.

Knowing yourself and answering these questions gives you a much more stable foundation to build a marriage on.

Check back for more posts on relationships and marriage. We will be bringing you more valuable information on this very important subject.

Take care of yourself and your loved ones,
