Challenges

What’s the toughest challenge you’ve had to face in your life?

Did it have to do with you yourself or with a relationship with someone else?

We all have challenges. Some more than others. How you deal with the ones that life gives you determines your character. Or is it your character that determines how you deal with your challenges? It’s the old “chicken or the egg” dilemma.

Every day you are faced with decisions, some as simple as what do I have for breakfast and others, life changing. For example: Do I take a stand for myself today? Do I decide that I want my life to mean something or am I going to continue just putting in my time until retirement?

Have you come to a crossroads in your life? Are there decisions you are having trouble with? Sometimes it helps to just have someone to talk to. Someone not involved with the situation that can give you an outside view of the facts as you know them. Perhaps even shine light on some options you haven’t considered. They can provide you with another insight that you wouldn’t have due to being inside the situation.

What am I talking about?

• Let’s say, you have a life changing decision you need to make.

• Perhaps you’re scared to take the steps, because doing so, you will be leaving
a part of your old life behind.

• A part of you knows what the decision needs to be. Another part is confused.
The confused part is the mind’s way of stopping you from upsetting the status quo.

• If you have a calm knowingness about a decision, you need to make, and someone or something brings in confusion. Step back and know the confusion for what it is… a distraction tactic. Go back to the calm knowingness and there you’ll find your answer.

Do you need someone to talk with about a specific decision you’re being challenged with? Bob and I are available to provide outside “insight”. You can reach us by phone, email or our live chat feature at www.intentionalprosperity.com

Your Inner Workings: Part Two

Most people fall into categories two and three… (see posting titled: “Your Inner Workings”)
There are certain periods in your life when you experience category one: Everything works like magic in your life. The decisions you make tend to be the right ones. Your life is full of prosperity, abundance, joy and fulfillment.

The purpose behind what my wife, Gwen, and I are doing with “The Intentional Prosperity™ System” is to help people get back to and maintain the category one lifestyle. So finding and following your passion becomes a consistent and supportable way of life… not an accident or a mystery.

I believe the best way to accomplish this is to explain how the “process of life” works and provide the techniques which prove the validity of your intent being the primary determination of the quality of your life. How your imagination, mind, emotions and body are already working to create and sustain the life you are living right now. The Intentional Prosperity™ System is designed to show you how to become the Master of your destiny by showing you how not to be the victim of circumstances.

Once you understand how things really work, you will have at your disposal the tools and techniques necessary to “take back” those aspects of yourself which have been “out of control”.

Our approach to Life Coaching

We use the “Intentional Prosperity”™ philosophy as the foundation. It’s the basic “operating manual” and a true holistic approach to helping someone get from where they are now, to where they really want to be.

Your Inner Workings

In 2007 my wife Gwen and I began to write articles for the “Passion Unlocks Prosperity” series at a sister site to www.intentionalprosperity.com. During the last few days we’ve updated and transferred all of the articles to their new home at Intentional Prosperity™.

The purpose of this series of articles is to connect with individuals who are seeking information on the internet. Information about life’s challenges and mysteries, and how to find your passion and follow your passion.

Through my own life experiences I came to recognize and realize that there was a “process” at work 24 hours and day 7 days a week:

It operates whether you are aware of it or not. Just because you choose not to believe it exists doesn’t change the fact that it does. The process I’m talking about is the intricate balance between your imagination, mind, emotions and body. They all work together to create and maintain the life you are currently experiencing.

All too often one of those aspects of yourself dominates and influences the other three.
When this happens you have inner conflict and your outer day-to-day life will not reflect what you think you believe it should be.

You could say that you have four distinct personalities. They operate together in one of three ways:

1. They work together as a team: This is the “I am” principle. This is when you are a whole person. Every aspect of yourself supports and empowers the other aspects. This is the enlightened state where your consciousness (soul) leads your imagination, mind, emotions and body into the greatest possible joy and fulfilling life experiences.

2. You are out of balance: One of your four “selves” becomes the dominant aspect of your life. This creates a barrier to your “higher calling” because your true self (your soul) is temporarily blocked from guiding your day-to-day life. In this situation it is your “ego” that takes over and usually prevents you from connecting with your genuine self.

3. Your “selves” are in conflict with each other: Fear, uncertainty and doubt rule your day-to-day life. The natural tendency of the mind is to protect itself from change. The first line of defense is fear. When there is no common thread between your “selves” there is no foundation upon which each aspect of yourself can be grounded. You are constantly in flux, unable to move forward because you find inner conflict between who you want to be and what the various aspects of yourself are telling you who you are.”

Your Inner Workings: Part Two will be posted on tomorrow’s blog.

Gas Hits $4, Nobody Cares…Really

This strange countdown to higher cost gasoline proves to me that complacency has overwhelmed and curtailed the kind of consumer outrage that would in years past resulted in immediate Federal Government action.

Case in point:

Back in the ’70′s the speed limit was rolled back to 55 mph and it saved gas plus we all got a lot better gas mileage because of of it. Today’s cars get their best mileage at about 62-65 mph… Reducing from 75 mph to 65 mph could save the average driver 10-15% fuel… but nobody’s talking about it.

There could be an organized national no-drive day. Everyone picks one day a week and simply does not use their car. Probably very doable with an immediate result because you’d have a full day’s worth of fuel not pulled out of the pipeline each week. Fuel stocks would rise, price would go down…but nobody’s talking about it.

Have you changed your personal driving habits over the last few weeks?

Or are you just pulling out the credit card and your denial as the cost of filling up your twenty gallon gas tank heads toward 100 bucks?

By the way did you know that at the current price of oil, which is around $135 plus (as I’m writing this), the actual cost of a gallon of gasoline should be around $6 or more! You see, that high priced oil hasn’t hit the refineries yet.

Did you know that if you put a frog in cold water and slowly turn the heat up a frog will not jump out of the pan of hot water…no matter how hot it gets. Is this happening to you? Are you becoming “frog soup”?

The ripple effect of high oil prices is forcing one of the largest inflationary spirals since the 1970′s. Dow chemical announced an across the board 20% increase to their customers starting next month… Watch for this type of thing to start happening with a lot of “raw materials”…

To put things into perspective: This is a price increase at the most basic level of the raw ingredients used to grow food and make things.

FYI: A twenty percent increase in the cost of raw materials doesn’t reflect itself in an item costing 20% more. By the time you purchase that item you will pay 5 to 10 times that cost. If the raw material cost an additional $5 to the manufacturer, you will pay $50 – $100 more for the item… not $5 more.

This is one of those times in your life when you should get out some paper and a pencil and start figuring out how you are going to adjust your lifestyle to the upcoming changes. It’s better to have some kind of strategy than sit like a frog while the water gets hotter.

The Intentional Prosperity™ System provides the information and techniques to create whatever lifestyle changes are necessary for you to have abundance in your life.

No matter what the price of gasoline happens to be.

Flipping Your Inner Switch

Flipping the inner switch that engages the kind of energy and action which transforms your life is a phenomenon that cannot be predicted.

But can be stimulated

Anyone who has had it happen knows what I’m talking about. You go from consideration into knowingness and action. When you flip the inner switch you literally know what you need to do. You don’t have to write out a bunch of goals or ponder what to do first. You just know exactly what to do and what sequence to do the other things you need to accomplish.

How do you get that inner switch to flip?

My own experience always follows a pattern.

1. An almost obsessive, immersive interest in information about a thing or experience.

2. I begin to “see” patterns and connections in the information. In other words, I start to connect the dots.

3. Then knowingness kicks in. I know what and how to do the thing or have the experience from the perspective of my current day-to-day reality. This is when inspiration pushes me into the zone of action and accomplishment.

The fact that you’re able to accomplish from within your “world” as it is, not as you think it needs to be, is when things really get exciting. It’s like seeing the possibilities in your life for the first time and just knowing how to take advantage of those opportunities.

The steps you take seem easy, obvious and yes, it all works out perfectly!
