Too many people wait to long and then become victims of “the waiting”. Way too much denial and not enough action is how people really get into trouble.
You may remember in an earlier posting I talked about the story I heard a guy tell about his father:
His job was to “close out” factories.
Ship out the machinery and close them up. He recounted that to his amazement – time after time he would suggest that the workers in the factory he was closing out should check out job availability at another plant – and time after time he would have workers say – “No thanks, I’m going to see how things turn out here”.
So they would hang around until the day he padlocked the factory door.
That’s a true story.
