Crossing The “Line of Insanity”

It’s a dangerous place you find yourself when the natural progression of
your journey into self-discovery takes you somewhere – you suddenly realize
- no one else seems to have been.

Is this the thin “line of insanity” everyone talks about?

Where your thinking, rationalizing and expecting has taken your life to a place you
didn’t expect. Ramifications you didn’t want to consider because the need to discover
where you were “going” became your primary focus.

Consider yourself lucky if you manage to find someone who actually understands how
you got to the new “place” even if they may not understand what the “place” is. At least
you have the potential of a conversation… Maybe some much needed validation.

Am I right? Am I wrong? Do I continue or back away?

Every artist has faced this when jumping off the cliff into the unknown
with his or her art. Going somewhere new without having any “ken of reference”
is both scary and thrilling… But, when it’s not music, paint or sculpting, et al,
and it’s your very experience of life – and you have no one to ask “what do
you think?”- because they have never thought about it…

The realization that you may be “the first” to begin the process of pondering (asking the question) – you find that the only person you can seek validation from is yourself…

Am I “nuts” because I can clearly “see” the natural evolution of a thought process
and contemplate the outcome before the “manifested thing, experience or relationship”
has even arrived? Or am I engaged in the very “process of manifestation” – by allowing
myself a choice of outcome and then expecting and rationalizing it into existence?

And what about the price?

In the end, one’s sanity may be solely judged by his or her ability to bridge the
space/time between fantasy and reality – with manifestation…

To what end?

Maybe the experience of life is simply for us to prove the validity of the fantasy as well as prove the “process of manifestation”… Maybe anything really is possible and once you “get it” you don’t have to prove it anymore.

Until then you’re stuck.

If you feel like something’s missing in your life you must read my article and watch my video “Something Is Missing”.

Coincidence Or Proof?

What I’m about to tell you just happened to me Friday night…

I had just dropped off my friend at his apartment after fun night of meeting people and having many great conversations. It was almost 1:00 am and his last words were:

“Be careful it’s really slippery out here”.

Was it ever! He lived in my old neighborhood on Logan St., in Helena, MT. Ironically right across the street from my old house and the recording studio my former wife and I had converted into Condo’s several years ago.

I wasn’t worried. I’ve got serious snow tires: Michelin “x-ice” cause, this is Montana and you do what you got to do to keep mobile – and I live about 15 miles or so out of town….

Im a really careful driver but what happened next is astonishing!

As I’m heading out of town – going less than the speed limit on a four laner with a concrete median dividing it into two lanes of opposing traffic – and with the city band shell and swimming pool to my right I feel the rear end of my car slip….

Wow, the road was sheer black ice…

I corrected and the car realigned itself. I was slowing down and suddenly – it was like the rear end of the car had it’s own mind and started to “go faster” than the front end of my car…

The car was out of control and started to spin to my right!

At this point a gas station was now on my right side and the front of my car was pointing at the pumps – I was unable to stop my four thousand pound rear-drive Lexus – and this lead sled was now spinning out of control at almost 35 miles per hour!

My first reaction was “WTF!”

I consciously relaxed into the experience and instinctively reacted. I heaved a quick sigh of relief as the front end continued spinning beyond the gas station.

Okay, no explosion! But it wasn’t over as the inertia of the spinning car was about to hit the raised center median – with about an eight inch curb!

Either the car was going to flip from a side impact or the car was going to continue careening over the other two lanes and off the other side of the road somewhere.

I never doubted I was going to be okay and I let the “experience play out”… What happened next I can’t explain. It still doesn’t make sense to me from a logical standpoint.

I know I hit the median…

The next thing I knew I was standing still on the other side of the median which was the left hand turning lane – my car facing in the right direction…

I was stunned.

The car was going at least 35 mph (it was a downhill grade)
and was out of control… But there I was – as if nothing had happened.

My first reaction was a verbal “Thank you” – then I told my car how grateful I was for it protecting me that way…

I’ve always told my car how wonderful it is…

I saw the headlights of a car approaching in my rear-view mirror so I simply put my left turn signal on and made the left turn about 50 feet ahead and proceed cautiously home…

That was the first (oncoming) traffic to appear… From their point of view I was just somebody making a normal left hand turn….

I believe something beyond a rational explanation had taken place.

A four thousand pound object going 35 mph cannot come to a complete stop in two or three feet. But that’s exactly what happened.

And what are the odds it would be standing still – facing the right direction perfectly aligned with the curb in a left turn lane?

Remember: The car was spinning to the right – if it was spinning to the left it might make sense ending up in the right direction on the other side of the median – and by the way, the left turn lane was also covered in black ice. With no (oncoming) traffic until I was ready to proceed.

None of this is a coincidence… And, no “magic bullet” theory can explain this away.

A few weeks ago, I began consciously intending, knowing and accepting that “the Universe has my back”… That I am protected.

This is only one of a series of inexplicable experiences I’ve had since I chose to accept this belief as my day-to-day reality…

For me this was another instance of proof!

Another indication that my life was going to continue to work itself out for the best. As it has been.

I could be in the hospital right now or worse – and my car could have been totaled…. A head-on crash with another car.

But, there was absolutely no body damage – not even the front-end going out of alignment. No trauma to my car and No trauma to me…

Just an incredible, humbling reminder I’m so grateful for…

That the Universe has my back! I am protected. Things will continue to work out in my life – better than I expected.

The Law of Intentional Expectancy is real.

Beware: There Really Are Vampires…

No, they won’t bite into your skin and suck your blood…

Given the chance they will drain the “life energy” out of you just the same. The energy vampire comes disguised as a friend or relative – maybe an occasional acquaintance – or someone you just met.

They seem open and warm. Easy to talk to. Before you know it they begin to tell you stories of how they’ve been betrayed, abused, cheated, and misused. You’re subtly pulled in with the awful stories of how many times their hearts have been broken.

How difficult it is for them to trust anyone…

But, you – you’re not like all those others. So you think to yourself “I would never do that to anyone”… So the vampire’s teeth are slowly inserted into your psyche. Your healthy empathy turns into sympathy. And, the first time you “feel sorry” for a vampire – it owns you – and starts the long terrible process of imbedding itself into your emotions.

The vampires secret weapon is pity

He or she will make you feel guilty and ashamed if you try not to feel sorry for the vampire.

The vampire needs your sympathy. That’s what gives it strength. Whenever the vampire see’s you’re happy and not sympathetic to him or her – you will very quickly find yourself confronted in a manner that smoothly transforms your attention back to feeling sorrow and pity.

In time the first words out of the mouth of the vampire you allowed into your life will drain you of any joy or energy you may have. Even the thought of being near the vampire will have the same affect. You may even find yourself cringing in fear of having to face the vampire in any kind of communication… Just the thought is draining

Now the vampire has complete control over you

By the way, there are two kinds of vampires: The ones that absolutely know what they are doing and feed on your energy through conscious manipulation. But the second type may be even more dangerous and far more plentiful.

They are the legions of vampires that are completely unaware of their vampire ways! Always trying to get you to listen to them – their stories – their endless grim tales of life’s
bad breaks.

But the absolute worst are the “gunny sackers”

They feed on living in past memories. Using anger to fuel their unresolved memories as they replay events from years and decades ago. These are truly the “walking dead”. There is no future they can even discuss…

For their world is that cold grey nightmare world of “how dare they”, and all manner of “shudda and couldda” where the same life movies of times gone by – play again and again – always ending the same way.

But the vampire always changing history to serve it’s need for self pity – spins the memory like fine silk into a web of rationale that proves it’s victimization – again – as always…

So be careful. The next time your phone rings, someone knocks at your door – even sends you an email – it could be a vampire needing your immediate attention!

Post about Warren Miller…

Back at the very beginning of this blog, Bob wrote this post about Warren Miller:

I happened to hear a radio interview yesterday with a man named Warren Miller. I guess anybody who ski’s or snowboards is going to recognize that name. He became famous creating movies which captured the excitement and the thrill of the experience…

When he started doing this there were only 6 ski lifts in the United States! He used to get the ski school instructors to do the actual skiing by telling them how famous they were going to become…

Often times he had to live in his car sleeping in parking lots…When he was able to finally show his movies…He narrated them live and played back his own music soundtracks…And this was the early 1950′s!

Many credit Warren with creating a grass-roots ferver about the joy of skiing in the snow back in those early days…

By the way his son took over the business about twenty years ago and it was recently sold as part of a package for a cool 300 million.

To paraphrase a couple of things Warren said in the interview that resonated with me:

1. Most people are tied down psychologically to their current financial situation…Instead of doing what they love they tell themselves that they can’t…When the radio interviewer expressed his own interest in snowboarding Warren said he should quit his job and go work for a small radio station so he could follow his joy…(the interviewer’s reaction was to change the subject)

2. Nobody plans the first half of their lives…and few plan the second half! Although Warren left behind film making about 18 years ago he has taught himself to become a writer…Essentially launching a new career…He started by writing a articles for the local paper at $10 a pop…Soon he was writing for 22 newspapers!

Probably the most impressive thing about Warren Miller was his mannerism on the radio…He had that no-nonsense energetic confidence and vitality of a successful man in his late forties or early fifties. He went on to say that he figured he still had another 25 productive years ahead of him and was excited about the future.

Then the radio announcer mentioned that Warren Miller was 83…

One of the basic assumptions of The Intentional Prosperity™ System is that you can find your passion and follow your dreams…Doing it is a lifestyle that unlocks your prosperity and abundance. Warren Miller is an example of someone who found his joy and fulfillment by following his passion…And continues to follow his passion!

Thank you Warren, you made my day!

Since this week I shared my skiing story with you, I thought you might enjoy reading the above post about how Warren Miller follows his passion.

Don’t let the news you hear keep you from finding and following your passion.

Rich, Famous and Live Forever

I recently heard a speaker say, “I can make you rich, famous and live forever!” I thought, “That’s a pretty bold statement.” I had heard that we all want to be rich, live forever and “get laid”. I hadn’t heard the famous part before.

It got me to thinking. It’s true… We all want to be recognized. You want recognition, don’t you? Think back, when you were a baby you cried, not just because your diapers needed to be changed and you were hungry, you needed and wanted attention!

Then you did your first finger painting and your mom put it up on the front of the fridge where everyone could see it. She gave you recognition, you were famous in her eyes.

And it goes on… As adults we have a number of ways of attracting attention to ourselves. Have you noticed the guy who drives the bright red sports car? Of course you have! As you read this, I bet you can think of ways you’ve attracted attention. Maybe doing an extraordinary job at work. Choosing to excel, to be a success, at something.

Hey, we all have a need to be recognized. If not to be famous, to be validated that we’re special. It’s almost as important as breathing for some. (Those who seek the limelight.) I’m not saying the only way to be special is to be famous. That’s a common misconception.

Look… you aren’t just special, you’re a miracle! The fact you were conceived, made it though birth and childhood as well as your unique trials, tribulations and various challenges is incredible. Do you know how fantastic the odds are of all that happening? I don’t know the exact percentage, but it is high enough to make every person on the planet, alive today, a miracle.

Even if you’re not rich, famous and going to live forever, you’re unique and wonderful.

So, your bank account isn’t what you’d like it to be and the media hasn’t been talking and writing about you… AND no one lives forever. Even so… You’re a special person and I’m glad you’re here.

Have you done anything lately that could change your current reality? Are you working on becoming rich, famous and extending your life as long as you can? Do you want some help, some insight? Check out the revolutionary Intentional Prosperity System…

Take care and recognize your own greatness today,
