Bob Baran, could also be considered "philosopher King"...Because he's a recognized expert in every area of his passion and interest has taken him.
It's difficult to reconcile a man who had, for example, at the age of twenty-three worked on an automotive assembly line, walked off that job and directly into selling Encyclopedia Britannica (door to door) without any previous experience (Where he soon won a four state sales contest) and then auditioned for and was accepted into The Indiana University School of Music in jazz studies ...All within a six month period!
By the time he was 27 years old he had developed the most consistently successful sales organization in a nutrition based mlm company (which he started working on part-time while still in college) and was hired to create one of the first cassette format "non manipulative" training systems in the industry...
Then he launched his first professional recording studio and production company in 1979 ...Which has continuously operated to this day as Bob Baran and Associates
Still widely sought after in the early 1980's for his network marketing expertise, Baran discovered a man named Don Failla whose "Ten Napkin Presentations" revolutionized training in the network marketing industry ...Producing Don's famous audio cassette and securing the audio production and manufacturing rights to his training system.
By 1982, recognizing the time was right for a radically different approach to understanding and teaching the fundamentals of network marketing success, Bob Baran launched a new company, Instructional Media Institute to publish a new book he had written.
A book Amway of Australia called "The Bible of Multi-Level-Marketing"..."Multi-Level Mastery".
It was the first book of it's type in the industry to focus primarily on the "universal principles" as the true basis of success. His enlightened approach stressing self-growth as the primary building block for real long term business success - rapidly became the model for the direct marketing industry.
His self-published book sold over 33,000 copies!
Bob's passion for music never waned. He always used his business and marketing expertise to support his music. His desire to find his "musical voice" was a factor in moving from Indiana to Montana at the end of 1984 - because he wanted be in an "inspiring environment" to more fully explore his interest in composing music.
This didn't happen right away as he continued to be sought out to author oem training materials and was hired as a marketing consultant on several projects. By 1987 he recognized it was time to put his full attention on his deepest passion: Music. A decision caused a radical change in the direction of his life.
Within six weeks he was awarded a grant to compose, perform and produce his first album of original music by a local arts foundation (The Helena Film Society) which was the largest single grant awarded (before or since) to an artist. In 1988 his first album "The Birds of Selenia" was released. The album was re-released in 2004 by Gathering Wave®.
This began a period where Bob Baran, was able to focus his attention on refining his composing and production abilities...
It's interesting to note that Baran built a new recording studio facility on the walking mall in Downtown Helena, Montana near the end of '87. By the time the construction was completed in December. He had only enough capital to pay the bills for one month...
Two years later his determination and success enabled him to buy his own building!. Which was quite an accomplishment for a recording studio and production company in a small town in Montana - with a population of less than 30,000 people!
The success of Bob Baran's skill as a marketer, artist, composer and producer soon gained him national recognition. This resulted in the National Association of Broadcasters placing him on the prestigious "Radio Advertising Bureau's List of Recommended Creative Resources"
Positioning him as one of the top 50 radio producers in the United States!
Bob Baran Productions' clients quickly became the "who's who" of local, regional and national businesses . Including such diverse clientele as America's largest food retailer, The Kroger Co. and National Public Radio's "Weekend Edition". But his love of music wasn't being placed on the back burner...
After going though a divorce in 1997, he was determined to discover what the process was that allowed him to follow his passion. What was it that put him in the right place at the right time in so many situations?
Could that same process also bring him what (he came to realize) was the most important experience he wanted to have... True love?
Thus began what Bob Baran has described as his "great spiritual awakening".

Beginning in 2000 Baran systematically began manifesting his most cherished life long dreams. Building a dream house on the side of a mountain. Launching Gathering Wave LLC his record label and publishing company which has to date released seven of Bob's CD's. and "The Intentional Prosperity™ System"...
Rapidly achieving national and international distribution of the music of Bob Baran, and the ongoing series of good things that continued to appear in his life resulted in a magical epiphany... 2006 when Bob composed a pure quantum consciousness solo piano album - that went on to qualify for the Grammy ballot in four categories - and hit #10 on the Billboard Magazine New Age Catalog Chart in 2009.
